Job Summary:
Join a leading national foodservice supply chain organization where you'll manage procurement for assigned categories, owning COGS performance and driving sourcing strategy in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This role offers flexibility (one remote day per week + Friday afternoons off) and the best of both worlds: a small, collaborative team culture backed by the scale and resources of a national supply chain operation.
- Execute procurement strategies for assigned categories, including supplier selection, negotiation, and management
- Own category-level COGS performance: forecasting, variance analysis, cost savings, and market risk/opportunity identification
- Manage day-to-day sourcing operations, ensuring efficient, timely execution
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance to align procurement with business needs
- Build supplier relationships to secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance
- Monitor market trends and report on risks/opportunities for assigned categories
- Implement and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Required: Minimum 1 year of direct food procurement experience
- 3-5 years of total procurement experience, foodservice industry preferred
- Experience in supplier negotiations and contract management
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field preferred
- 10-20% travel for supplier visits and industry conferences
