ACCOUNT MANAGER CITRUS DERIVATIVES and CITRUS OILS

HOME BASED

Our client has been a leader in the CITRUS INDUSTRY for over 35 years! They are pioneers in the manufacturing of CITRUS INGREDIENTS, CITRUS OILS, FRACTIONS, ISOLATES etc. sold to manufacturers of FLAVORS, FRAGRANCES, FOOD and BEVERAGES. As a result of continued growth, they are seeking an experienced ACCOUNT MANAGER to sell their full line of citrus based ingredients/oils to mid-sized Flavor and Fragrance manufacturers nationally as well as Food and Beverage Manufacturers on the East Coast.

This position will be home based and will call on manufacturers throughout the US. To qualify, applicants MUST have prior experience selling CITRUS INGREDIENTS / CITRUS OILS/FRACTIONS/ISOLATES or similar products.Must have solid industry contacts and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Makes sales calls to existing clients and generate new business.Solicit new customers and product opportunities at Flavor, Fragrance, Food and Beverage Manufacturers within the US
  • Maintain close personal contact with all key customers
  • Identify opportunities with customers where company can offer technology solutions and new product applications that add real value.
  • Work closely with technical, commercial and operational personnel to progressidentified opportunities.
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of the products offered by company to the industry and develop a detailed understanding of competitors, their products and key market drivers.
  • Ensure agreed commercial sales and margin targets for the division are met

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prefer BA/BS degree.
  • MUST have 3+ years experience selling TECHNICAL CITRUS INGREDIENTS, CITRUS OILS, FRACTIONS, ISOLATES or other similar value added citrus ingredients or raw materials.
  • MUST have prior experience calling on R&D groups selling value added Citrus Ingredients to flavor/fragrance/food/beverage manufacturers
  • Prior R&Dexperience with citrus ingredients would be a major plus.
  • Must have a sound understanding of citrus ingredients, citrus oils, fractions, isolates etc.
  • Will consider technical applicants who have a desire to move into a technical sales role providing they have 5+ years of CITRUS OIL, FRACTION and ISOLATE product application/development experience along withfrequent customer contact
  • MUST have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and must be capable of givingprofessional/technical presentations to customers.
  • Must have a professional demeanor,strong business acumen andasolid understanding of financials, margins, budgets etc.
  • Position is home based and requires frequent overnight travel as necessary.
