Job Summary
Our client is currently seeking a Distribution Sales Territory Manager.
This is a fully remote position requiring 60-70% travel which covers the Mountain & Western States (NM, CO, WY, MT, ID, UT, AZ, NV, CA, OR , WA) and will report into the VP of Sales.
The Territory Manager will be responsible for market penetration & profitable sales growth within the assigned territory. This role achieves results by effectively managing & growing the existing customer base, developing new distributor & customer relationships, supporting distributor sales teams, & identifying opportunities within new & existing construction projects. The position requires strong relationship-building skills, disciplined territory management, and the ability to represent the company professionally in a competitive marketplace.
A company car is provided.
The Territory Manager will inherit a existing book of business of some key distributor partners but should be someone who can expand their customer base.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with all current customers and distributors within the region; understand their business models, needs, and growth opportunities. including key decision-makers and influencers.
- Identify, develop, and onboard new distributor and customer accounts to expand market penetration and drive sales growth
- Research and become knowledgeable of new construction projects within the region utilizing
- Execute territory and account business plans focused on retention, new account acquisition,
- Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner.
- Responsible for achieving annual sales volume, revenue, and profit goals.
- Develop, maintain, and actively manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM; ensure timely and accurate data entry.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, territory plans, and activity reports for management review.
- Analyze sales data, customer buying patterns, and market trends to identify opportunities and risks.
- Work cross-functionally with Customer Service, Operations, Marketing, Credit, and Supply Chain to ensure accurate order fulfillment, lead times, and customer satisfaction trends.
- Build and maintain awareness of new products, services, competitor activity, and industry
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the full distribution network within the region,
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of direct Sales Management experience in Building Products or related field.
- Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance, with high level of integrity and work ethic.
- Solid experience in opportunity qualification (often involving multiple key decision makers), pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques and have problem identification and objection resolution skills.
- Excellent listening, verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
- Strong time and territory management skills; highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in CRM systems, MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), virtual meeting
- Proven ability to convert prospects, close deals, and consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
