Job Summary
Judge Direct Placement is working with an international leader within the manufacturing industry seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) - Southeast. This is a high-impact, remote-based role responsible for driving revenue growth and market share within the aggregates and mining industries. This position is designed for an aggressive, self-motivated "hunter" and "go-getter" who possesses deep industry knowledge and located in the Southeastern United States.
As their organization continues its aggressive expansion and investment in their sales force, the RSM will be responsible for a dual-focus strategy: proactively identifying and capturing new market share while strategically developing and expanding our footprint within existing customer accounts. This role requires a commitment to 80% travel to maintain a consistent, high-energy presence at quarries, mines, and corporate offices across the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Aggressive Business Development: Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within the aggregates, crushed stone, sand and gravel, and industrial mining sectors to displace competitors.
- Account Expansion & Development: Actively grow existing customer relationships by identifying "white space" opportunities and ensuring our solutions are the primary choice across all customer sites.
- Territory Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic sales plan for the Southeast region (including AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, and TN) to maximize market penetration.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain multi-level relationships, from site-level plant managers and maintenance foremen to C-suite executives and procurement directors.
- Sales Lifecycle Management: Take full ownership of the sales process from initial cold calling and lead generation to high-level presentations, negotiations, and closing.
- Reporting & CRM: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline growth, and market intelligence using the company CRM.
- Market Analysis: Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and industry developments to provide actionable feedback to the executive leadership team.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Industry Expertise: Minimum of 7-10+ years of outside sales experience specifically within the Aggregates, Mining, or Heavy Construction industries.
- Transferable Industry Knowledge: Must have a working understanding of the operations, procurement cycles, and business needs unique to the mining and aggregates sector.
- Proven Performance: A documented track record of being a top-tier performer in new logo acquisition and organic growth within established accounts.

- Travel Readiness: Ability and willingness to travel 80% of the time (including overnight stays) to support a large geographic territory.

- Strategic Autonomy: Ability to work independently from a home office, managing time and resources effectively to maximize ROI.
- Location: Must reside within the Southeastern US, ideally near a major airport hub (e.g., Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Birmingham).
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred; equivalent years of direct industry sales experience will be considered.
