ABOUT THE ROLE
The Data Operations Analyst will serve as a dedicated resource supporting one of Acxion's top foodservice clients, focused on maintaining client dashboards, enabling strategic initiatives, and acting as the bridge between Customer Insights & Analytics team and Acxion's operational support.
This role requires someone who combines strong technical skills with business acumen- someone who can transform data into meaningful insights and confidently communicate those insights to both internal teams and client stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned foodservice professional with proven experience in data reporting, client collaboration, and proactive ownership of deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain, support, and optimize Tableau dashboards for field client and internal leadership teams.
- Strategize, implement, and track quarterly targeting initiatives aligned to client growth objectives.
- Collaborate directly with client and Acxion Customer Insights & Analytics teams to gather requirements, translate business needs, and deliver actionable reporting.
- Act as the liaison for any insights, data stewardship, or reporting requests, ensuring clarity and timely follow up.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations and execute summaries to communicate insights and results to client and leadership audiences.
SUPPORT DATA MODERNIZATION EFFORTS
- Assist in sustaining and optimizing Acxion's Snowflake data warehouse and related data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and maintain documentation of workflows and system changes.
- Support internal data governance and QA practices to ensure accuracy and consistency across CRM and operational data systems.
REQUIRED SKILLLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in a data analytics, reporting, or business operations role.
- Foodservice industry experience required (knowledge of operators, distributors, brokers, or GPOs).
- Candidates with proven experience in Circana will be given priority consideration.
- Proficiency with Tableau (dashboard maintenance, visualization development, and publishing).
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to present insights clearly and confidently using PowerPoint and other visual storytelling tools.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple client and internal initiatives, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable interacting directly with clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines, owning deliverables, and managing multiple projects independently.
PREFERRED SKILLLS
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Exposure to marketing, distributor, or trade promotion datasets.
- Background in process documentation, SOP creation and workflow optimization.
