Job Summary
Our client is currently seeking a Senior Estimator to support the Business Development Manager in putting together estimates / bids for commercial construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience estimating construction projects involving steel frames, connections, and heavy structural components.
The Senior Estimator will be pricing commercial and industrial work from takeoff through proposal, coordinating with fabricators, erectors, vendors, and GCs and needs to someone who understands steel and construction timelines and can develop competitive bids with minimal supervision.
This opportunity is is ideally located in a beautiful areas of the country along the South Carolina coast, just north of Savannah GA.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents for structural steel scopes
- Estimate costs for shop fabrication, field erection, equipment, and labor
- Work with vendors and subcontractors for quotes and schedules
- Maintain pricing databases and past project benchmarks
- Support value-engineering efforts and alternate bid options
- Lead handoffs to the project team after award
- Perform takeoffs (beams, columns, connections, embeds, etc.)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience estimating structural steel or related scopes
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and specs
- Knowledge of fabrication and erection practices
- Estimating software experience (Tekla PowerFab a plus)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
